Database Passwords

The databases and tables in eserp are each protected by a password to protect them from unauthorized access e.g. from am external database application.
The password causes the protected table to be encrypted on the data storage media and it can only be reopened when the password is entered.
To prevent users from being asked repeatedly to enter their database passwords when using eserp, it is best to use the Database Passwords menu command to record every password used to encrypt tables. This has the advantage that users do not need to know the database passwords.
It is usually enough to record one password for the database for all employees (Personnel no. 1).
In some cases it may be useful for every employee who should have access to eserp to have their own individual database authorization. In this case, each employee should be entered here along with their corresponding password.
